“Down this way is some storage. The same combination of maple woods was used here as in the bedroom. Our bathroom is on the left.”
“This round room is above the round room on the first floor, but modified to allow space for my personal items. You can see from the photographs some of the things I found interesting to do when I wasn’t occupied by business or civic duties. Some friends and I owned racing horses. We kept these beautiful animals at stables in the city and would race them time to time at a track we built adjacent to the Chautauqua Lake outlet. In the other photo, you can see a small steamer some friends and I had built for us. While it was pleasant to have a little craft for our use on the lake, the upkeep became more than we wished to support and we sold it in 1893.”

“Our last stop up here is by the fireplace in the stairwell.”
