About Us

Mission Statement

Mrs. Elizabeth Warner Marvin gave her beautiful home located at 2 W. Fifth Street in Jamestown, NY to provide for the establishment of a meeting place and headquarters for women’s organizations, which have for their purpose the moral or mental improvement of women and are engaged in literary, musical, education, patriotic, scientific or historical work”.

Focus Statement

As the Marvin House is rated the best Queen Anne (or shingle-style structure) in the county and is given a Priority 1 rating for homes that should be protected under any circumstances, our focus is historic preservation.
